  We ate at George's Restaurant on a Tuesday night when we passed through Post, Texas while on a trip. Our meal was very good homestyle cooking (son's Chicken fried chicken, husbands Big Texan BBQ burger & my Chicken Fried steak). The salads were made with fresh, crisp lettuce, chilled to perfection and kept that way in chilled bowls, the mashed potatoes were made with milk, not water, and though the corn was from a can it was well seasoned and not tough and over cooked, the french fries were good. The service was excellent and our waitress, Crystal, took good care of us. The food arrived in a timely manner, served with a smile and our sweet iced tea (with just the right amount of sugar for a Southern girl) never was empty.
  All in all, we enjoyed our meal and will plan on making George's a regular stop on my way to Lubbock.

  If you drive thru Post, TX this is a must stop and eat. They have the best liver and onions I've ever eaten, the rest of the menu is great as well. They only except cash but have an atm inside.

  My other half, three year old son and myself stopped here last Friday evening (03/03/2017) for dinner on our long drive from San Antonio to Denver...best dinner we have had out to eat in months. Everyone was very friendly and quick service. Food was fantastic!! My other half had the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes, I had two soft shell beef tacos with refried beans and rice and my son had a cheese quesadilla. We very rarely eat out because we are very clean eaters and generally experience, a not so happy ending, when we do eat out!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone and we will absolutely be back on our next trip thru Post Texas!!!
